This Spring, we will be highlighting three empowered interns who are choosing to Seek MORE with us this semester. Get to know them by reading their stories and learning what seeking MORE means to them.
My name is Dami Osinowo, and I am a freshman at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Purdue University. I’m pursuing a degree in Business Management, HR, and International Business. I hope to become a Management Lead one day and also possibly work abroad or have a traveling job doing business outside of America. I am also passionate about volunteering and helping those in need. I plan to use my business and management skills to help make the world a better place. I am confident that the Kelley School of Business will provide me with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve my goals.
In my free time, I like to read, color, and travel to new places. I enjoy getting dressed up and looking presentable everywhere I go. That is one aspect of who I am. I've found that when I feel good about myself and know I look well in anything, I always enjoy myself more, regardless of what other people think of what I'm wearing. I believe that for me to be able to express myself honestly, I need to be more in touch with my artistic side. I strive to express myself through my fashion choices and to feel comfortable and confident in my own skin. I don't worry what others think, because I know I'm representing myself in the best way possible.
It was through my school's Business Connect program that I first learned about MORE. As a first-year student, I had no idea what to specifically search for in an internship, but as soon as I browsed their website and read other people's experiences, I became enthralled. Their emphasis on including everyone and their mission statement of "Making Opportunities Reachable For Everyone" really spoke to me. I knew I had found the perfect fit. I applied right away and couldn't wait to start. I am super glad that I found such an amazing organization to work with.
Seeking MORE to me means breaking barriers, not being discouraged or giving up, to better myself in different aspects of my life. It is incredibly comforting to realize that there are people out there who can relate to you and comprehend what it's like to experience different hardships in life and how to overcome them. We understand that to advance in our jobs, relationships, and other endeavors, we must watch out for and support one another.
This spring, I've decided to Seek MORE to complete my first year of college and have collected some excellent experience in the business world. I am beyond excited to start this internship and learn all that I can from such amazing people. I am confident that this experience will help me achieve my goals and make me a more well-rounded individual. I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities this internship will bring.
